About Zemi Farm
Zemi Farm recently relocated to Cooperstown NY
Zemis are Caribbean amulets carved from wood or stone that protect from evil and harm; they attract and bring good fortune.
I have always believed in luck and good fortune. I knew that with hard work and dedication, would come good fortune and the dream of Zemi Farm was born.
In 2005 Young Rider Magazine named Kindlehope Farm's Instructor Cody Waro Riding School of the Year Runner up.
About Cody
I started riding at eight years old and was very active in Pony Club and 4-H. I remember the first time I saw my trainer (Cathy Howard) riding dressage. I thought to myself...."WOW! I want to dance with my horse someday and wear the top hat and tails”...I was hooked.
When I turned 18, I became assistant manager at Kindlehope Farm under Catherine Howard's guidance. From there I attended SUNY Cobleskill and graduated with an Associates Degree in Equine Science in 2003. That May I returned to Kindlehope Farm to become full time manager and gave lessons fulltime to children and beginning adults.
I have started many young horses under saddle and re-schooled many horses for their owners over the years. My first level dressage horse and my walk- trot lesson pony were trained by myself and are ridden by my students now.
I give horses the confidence to do their job well and be successful.
I am a level 2 certified Dressage and Stable Management Instructor through the American Riding Instructors Program.
I am recognized by the USDF as an Associate Instructor with the intentions of Certifying in the next 5 years.
In 2008 I received my USDF Bronze medal. I have been working toward those scores for 6 years with 4 horses and currently working on Prix St. Georges with my 21year old Hanoverian gelding, Monty.
I have achieved the USDF rider performance awards at Training and Second Levels.
